The Bruce Mclaren Trust !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Mclaren's last winning ride, the only M8A-2 in existence, to an offshore buyer.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Apparently they overstretched themselves restoring it from the rotting hulk it was found as, can no longer afford to run it, and couldn't find a "no strings" local buyer.
Big ups to them for making the decision that they'd rather see it on a track overseas than languishing in a museum in NZ, but Jeez, it's sad to know we'll never see it here again.

a guy that can afford to buy a restored mclaren can afford to bring it back to new zealand if there's an appropriate historic race to run it in.
